AARP® Dental Insurance Plan advantages
administered by Delta Dental Insurance Company

As an enrollee of the AARP Dental Insurance Plan, you enjoy a number of benefits such as:

  • Lower out-of-pocket costs. When you visit a Dental Provider Organization (DPO) dentist, you save money, because they are Delta Dental dentists who have agreed to charge reduced fees to DPO patients.

  • Freedom of choice of dentists. You can select any licensed dentist you want, but you will receive special advantages when visiting a DPO or a Delta Dental dentist.

  • Claims convenience. Delta Dental dentists handle all paperwork, and do not charge patients for Delta Dental's share of the bill. Delta Dental pays benefits directly to Contracting dentists. With a Non-Delta Dental dentist, you may have up-front payments at the time of treatment, and you may have to send in the claim form. When a dentist does not contract with Delta Dental, he or she does not contract to limit your costs.

  • Largest selection of dentists. Of course, since Delta Dental's programs comprise more than 182,000 dentist locations, including 104,000 DPO dentist locations, you may discover that your dentist is already a member.

  • Most pre-existing conditions covered. Delta Dental provides benefits for most pre-existing conditions in the interest of your good dental care.

  • Quality considerations. Delta Dental dentists agree to cooperate with Delta Dental's procedures to assess quality treatment.
