My company is offering us a choice of DeltaPremier, DeltaPreferred Option and DeltaCare. What are the differences?

DeltaPremier is a traditional fee-for-service plan that allows you to visit any licensed dentist and to change dentists at any time without notifying Delta.

DeltaPreferred Option (DPO) is a preferred provider organization plan, which also offers you the flexibility to visit any licensed dentist. However, you generally receive the highest level of benefits with the lowest out-of-pocket expense when you visit a dentist from the DPO network or a participating specialist.

DeltaCare is a prepaid dental plan. When you enroll, you select a DeltaCare network dentist to provide care for you and your family. With DeltaCare, you must select a dentist from the current list in order to receive benefits. When you need specialty care, your primary care dentist can obtain a referral. Advantages of the DeltaCare plan include low or no copayments for services, no deductibles and no maximums on services provided by primary care dentists.
