DeltaPreferred Option PPO program

The cost advantages of a preferred provider
organization with freedom to choose any dentist.

This is a lower-cost dental fee-for-service program without the typical restrictions and limitations inherent in most closed-panel programs. When employees use one of Delta's DPO network dentists, they receive the maximum benefit and lower out-of-pocket cost.

Freedom of choice. Employees are free to select any dentist at any time.

DPO dentists offer out-of-pocket savings. When employees go to a DPO network dentist, they pay according to the fees we've negotiated. All fees are pre-approved, guaranteed never to be higher than the pre-negotiated maximum. Employees pay only the patient portion specified in the contract at the time of service.

DPO dentists offer maximum convenience. DPO network dentists are also DeltaPremier dentists, so patients receive all the advantages of our dentist contracts, including:

  • No claim forms, no paperwork

  • Ongoing quality assurance, thorough post-treatment reviews and dentist consultant reviews.

An additional cost management feature. Because our DPO dentists also participate in our traditional fee-for-service programs, Delta has the ability to curtail overutilization by our dentists. DPO dentists agree to stay in the network and not raise their fees for a full year, helping to maintain the stability of employee expenses, employer rates and dentist network membership.
