DeltaPremier Dental Program
Our original, most widely purchased
fee-for-service program.
DeltaPremier offers these highly
desired features to organizations with 10 or more employees/members.
- Freedom of
choice. Delta Dental Insurance Company is a
member of Delta Dental Plans Association whose 37
member Plans cover more than 45 million enrollees
nationwide. Three-fourths of all licensed dentists
in the U.S. participate in the Delta network. Enrollees
are free to select any dentist; however, there are
special advantages when patients receive treatment
from a Delta dentist.
- Claims convenience.
Delta dentists handle all the paperwork for Delta
patients. And, because we pay these dentists directly,
patients don't pay the full amount at the time of
treatment and then wait for reimbursement.
- Guaranteed copayments.
With DeltaPremier, patients pay no more than the amount
specified by their coverage.
DeltaPremier offers a full spectrum
of benefits:
- Diagnostic
and preventive services include procedures
such as x-rays, cleanings and oral examinations to
assist the dentist in determining required treatment.
- Restorations
and denture repairs, including amalgam, synthetic
porcelain, plastic restorations (fillings) and prefabricated
stainless steel restorations, procedures for the repair
of partial or complete dentures.
- Other basic
services, including oral surgery; extractions
and certain other surgical procedures, including pre-and-post-operative
care and general anesthesia when administered by a
dentist for a covered oral surgery procedure; endodontics
(treatment of the tooth pulp); periodontics (treatment
of gums and bones supporting the teeth) and sealants
to protect children's teeth.
- Crowns and
prosthodontics, including crowns and cast restorations,
partial or complete dentures and repair of fixed bridges.
- Orthodontic benefits, including procedures involving
the use of active orthodontic appliances for the treatment
of malalignment of teeth and/or jaws. Optional coverage
for these services is available for adults as well
as for children.
